Skateboarding
I took the school bus [uphill] and skateboarding [downhill] home, in Middle School - sometimes. Never had I experienced smooth concrete, until Silver City finished development of a skatepark. My son learned how to bike at 4.5 years old, as a result of the skatepark and it's supportive skaters / bikers. I cruised the bowl, same lines, same speeds...just to feel that flow!
I can't do, but damn, those who can produce incredulous styles and movements, and systems of unadulturated performance!
